On 14th March we launched a Crowdfunder to take a new show on tour across Scotland. Disciples is joyful, dynamic piece created by an incredible group of women and non-binary people. Together they fiercely, passionately and honestly bring the stories of their bodies to life through music, movement, text and image.
Made by Rachel Drazek and Ellen Renton, the show is devised collaboratively by Saida Ahmed, Sally Clay, Helen Fox, Emma McCaffery and Bea Webster who identify as D/deaf and disabled performers.
The crowdfunder closed on 2 May and together we raised £29,448 – smashing our £20,000 target.
Thank you for all the support!
We have been thrilled with the support and enthusiasm that Disciples has received over the past four weeks. A massive thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, enthused and cajoled others to help raise funds to take the show on tour.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated.
Thank you also to Creative Scotland’s Crowdmatch initiative for £5,000 of match-funding and to The National Emergencies Trust’s Local Action Fund for a further £5,011 in match-funding. We were also thrilled to be granted £10,000 from the BA Better World Community Fund . A final thank goes to Crowdfunder for all their support in helping us to make the most out of this opportunity.
