Associate Director Engagement

Stellar Quines is recruiting for an Associate Director Engagement

The Associate Director Engagement will be responsible for developing and delivering a wide-ranging programme of learning, outreach and participatory activities that is delivered in synergy with the company’s main artistic programme. Since first becoming part of Stellar Quines’ work in 2017, the company’s participatory practice has grown significantly and we want to evolve this so that engagement and participation is an integral part of our work.

We are looking for an Associate Director Engagement who will shape our Engagement programme and work alongside the Artistic Director/CEO to define the strategic approach for Engagement activity. As this strand of Stellar Quines is growing, the Associate will be designing projects, seeking funding, managing projects and supporting freelancers as well as delivering activity where appropriate. How the Associate Director balances these elements can be shaped by the individual to suit their own practice but it is expected that the Associate Director Engagement will be involved in both project management and delivery.

The Engagement strand of Stellar Quines work connects with communities, young people, third sector organisations and educational institutions and offers opportunities to bring creativity into people’s everyday lives to build relationships, develop skills, create radical art and work towards social change. All Engagement activity seeks to deliver on our strategic priority to increase participation and is rooted in intersectional feminism and our vision for cultural democracy. The role will require a balance of designing and delivering creative projects, producing and fundraising, safeguarding and managing freelancers.

Type of Contract: Part time .08 FTE/4 days.
Exact days and times of work are negotiable.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

Salary: £26,000 (pro-rata) per annum
